Changelog

Forgotten Frights Update || v1.2.3 Forge-1.20.1

Notes

  • We now have a wiki you can use to search any questions you may have regarding the mod! You can check it out at: https://dungeonsdelight.wiki.gg/

  • With the many overhauls, tweaks, and introduced missing content brought into the Forgotten Fright updates I will now shift my focus towards NeoForge/Fabric 1.21.1 versions. Bug fixes, tweaks, and translations will be pushed out if required and if I have time.

Additions

  • Added Rotten Zombies, these replace the normal Zombies spawned by Monster Yam and are slightly stronger but drop Gunk and rarely Rotbulbs
  • Rotbulb Crops will now drop Monster Yam loot if the difficulty is on peaceful to prevent the inability to obtain Rotbulbs
  • Added 2 new splash texts

Removals

  • Removed the Persistence enchantment - This decision was made due to its cooldown refreshing only being useful in very niche situations, and it's slowing effects being very powerful

Changes

  • Stained Knife had it's attack damage changed from 5.5 -> 5.0
  • Stained Cleaver had it's attack damage changed from 5.5 -> 6.5
  • Monster Yams are no immune to suffocation
  • Bubblegunk now reduces hunger by -6 rather than -2, this hopefully opens up more usage cases with Tenacity
  • Wormouths will now enjoy a wider variety of items, mostly satiating or complex monster foods
  • Wormouths will now have a chance to drop 2-3 Stained Scrap rather than 1-2 Stained Scrap Fragments when food they enjoy
  • Wormroot Stalks can now ignite on fire
  • Snuffledog now requires Raw Snufflewurst instead of Cooked Snufflewurst to keep inline with other meat requiring foods

Tweaks

  • Updated the texture of Living Fire (@slimeslabs)
  • Tweaked the palette of living flame blocks to align with experience more
  • Slime foods are now ordered below Spider foods in the creative inventory
  • Moved where biteable foods are found in the creative inventory (pretty much just Bubblegunk and compat stuff at the moment though lmao)
  • Monster Yam summon particles have been changed to living flames to match their lore purposes
  • Monster Yam Spawn Egg is now monster rarity
  • The Corpsebloom advancement description has been tweaked to "Plant a rotbulbling, a disgusting plant that spells like death" to better show to the player that Rotbulbs attract undead mobs and to hide the surprise of them popping out a Monster Yam
  • Sculk Polyps are no longer required for the all mob knife drops advancement due to it dropping from the Warden being a very small secret and not the intended way of obtaining them.

Translations

  • [Note] Due to code changes translations for Rotbulbling and Wild Rotbulb items have broken
  • Translations have been updated for ru_ru (Credits: @Serperch)
  • Translations have been updated for zh_tw (Credits: @DEEMsss)

Technical

  • Updated the item tag id wormmouth_blacklisted's to wormouth_blacklisted
  • Added item tag wormouth_favorites, when items in this tag are also in monster_foods, have food properties, and are fed to Wormouth's they will drop their liked foods loot table

Fixes

  • Fixed Allays not accepting Amethyst Shards for duplication (...for real this time)
  • Fixed Rotbulblings and Wild Rotbulbs composting not working
  • Fixed Biteable foods being enchantable
  • Fixed Bubblegunk being capable of causing negative hunger points
  • Fixed Wormouths being pushable by Pistons
  • Fixed Rancid Reduction being required for advancements that require eating all types of a food (this was a leftover from when Rancid Reduction was a consumable)
  • Fixed missing tooltip effect tooltip on Shiokara
