BCA v4.1.4 – Fighting Biomes Update!

Hello Trainers!

Version 4.1.4 is now ready — the next biome-specific update in our type-themed release cycle! This update focuses on Fighting-type Pokémon, delivering new structures, new workers, visual enhancements, and long-requested quality-of-life additions.

This update introduces brand-new Fighting-aligned village variants across the following biomes:

  • Sunflower Plains
  • Plains
  • Savanna
  • Meadow
  • Savanna Plateau

These bring new designs, layouts, decorations, and structural themes tied to the Fighting aesthetic.

New in v4.1.4

Custom Paintings

A full set of custom BCA-themed paintings has been added to enrich builds and structures.

Full Loot Table Rework

We’ve completely rebuilt the loot tables across all structures — improving balance, variety, and mod-integration support.
This rework also includes:

  • Fixes for missing loot tables
  • Better item variety based on structure type
  • Cleaner fallback behavior for optional mod items

Currency Exchange Worker

A brand-new NPC worker now appears in updated settlements, allowing players to exchange currencies directly in-game. Perfect for Cobbledollars and upcoming economic systems.

New Farmers Market Store Workers

The farmers market has been refreshed with updated workers, better structure integration, and more thematic personalities for each stall.

Pokémon Spawn Integration in Custom Structures

Custom structures will now correctly reflect Cobblemon’s spawn rules, meaning:

  • Pokémon that match the biome and structure theme can spawn naturally
  • Improved thematic consistency (Fighting villages → Fighting-adjacent Pokémon, etc.)
  • Better synergy with Cobblemon’s own world-gen systems

Next Update: Winter / Christmas Release

We’re already preparing the seasonal Winter Update, featuring snowy biome expansions, holiday touches, and further biome-specific progress.

  • Patron Release: As soon as it’s ready
  • Public Release: December 23rd

🎃 Brocraft Cobblemon Additions v4.0.0 – Changelog

✨ Overview

The Halloween Town Update marks a major milestone for BCA — introducing the first biome-specific town variation and the foundation for future biome-based expansions.
This version brings atmospheric Halloween flair, smoother structure generation, and several important performance and stability improvements.

🏘️ New Additions

🎃 Biome-Specific Towns

  • Introduced the first themed biome variation — a Halloween-inspired town featuring spooky architecture, glowing lanterns, and seasonal decor.
  • This update establishes the biome variant framework, allowing future towns to generate uniquely depending on biome type.

🧱 Biome Framework Foundation

  • Added a modular system to support biome-specific structure sets.
  • Enables future updates like Plains, Tundra, and Forest themes with unique designs, NPCs, and loot.

⚙️ Fixes & Improvements

  • 🧩 Optimized structure generation performance for smoother worldgen and reduced lag.
  • 🧭 Improved village pooling and biome-matching logic for better placement variety.
  • 💡 Fixed lighting and decorative block inconsistencies within structures.
  • 🎁 Updated loot tables for improved balance and more rewarding exploration.
  • 🧱 General bug fixes across structure pools and decorative feature generation.
  • 🧰 Cleaned up data files and NBT templates to improve generation speed and maintainability.

🧩 Compatibility

  • ✅ Minecraft Version: 1.21.1 only
  • 🧬 Cobblemon: 1.6 and above
(BCA is also being prepared for full Cobblemon 1.7 compatibility upon release)
  • 🌍 Biome Support: Fully compatible with Terralith
  • 🎒 Optional Mod Integration (soft fail):
    • Traveler’s Backpack
    • PokeNav
    • Waystones
    • Sophisticated Backpacks

(All integrations are optional — no crashes if mods are missing.)

🌾 Coming Next

  • The Plains Update 🌾
    • Expanding biome-specific towns to open plains regions

The Entrance of the Academy

by strikebyte on Sep 21, 2025
Download

Changes:

  • World gen
    • Towns should now not stack on top of eachother and should be MUCH smoother. Some world gen problems may persist, so please report back on problems that you are able to see and find
    • the lodge now spawns connected to land and does not spawn suspended in the air.
  • New Structure!
    • The academy drops into the mod! This is a location that in the future, you will be able to find a library full of all sorts of cobblemon lore and information!
  • loot table balancing!
    • Loot tables have been heavily balanced. there are now far fewer items in chests and barrels. In the future if people are still saying that there is too much loot in the different villages, we will then cut down the number of chests per village. We will probably do this anyway as there are way to many chests and barrels in a few of the builds.
  • Cobbledollars only going forward until we figure out a workaround to intelligently determine how to use one or the other.

This version is compatible with Cobbledollars!

📢 BCA 3.9.2 is LIVE!

Hello @everyone!

It’s time to officially launch Brocraft Cobblemon Additions v3.9.2! 🎉

You might be wondering — why the jump from 3.8.1 straight to 3.9.2?

That’s because all intermediate builds were seen and tested by our Patrons — what you’re getting today is the most stable, cleaned-up version yet, skipping the buggy in-between builds!

🧩 What's New in 3.9.2?

✅ MOD FORMAT

We’ve officially transitioned from a datapack to a full mod!
No more installation headaches — just drop it into your mods/ folder and you’re good to go. Updates will be easier from here on out, especially for launcher users.

🎁 Custom Loot Pools Introduced!

The first four themed loot pools have been added:

  • 🥘 kitchen
  • 🛋️ sitting_room
  • 🛏️ bedroom
  • 🪜 attic

Expect many more to come in future updates, including:

  • 🔧 Workshop loot pool
  • 🌿 Gardener’s loot pool (potential integration with Farmer’s Delight?)
  • ⛏️ Toolsmith & Miner loot pools
  • 🧊 Refrigerator loot (ice, meats, etc.)
  • 🐣 Easter egg loot (what will it have? where will it be? 👀)

🧪 We Need Your Feedback!

Balancing these loot pools is a HUGE priority — and your input matters.

Please read through the list of notes below and join the thread attached to this post to share your own thoughts!

These are my dev notes from testing the loot — what do you agree/disagree with?

- Lucky Egg is too common in kitchen chests
- Kitchen loot needs more *usable* food, and less filler
- Random item counts (up to 8) should be added for realism
- Loaded Dice & Metal Coat appear too often in sitting room
- Remove raw meats, use cooked versions
- Add Glowstone Dust & redstone components to attic
- Charcoal too common in kitchen; more coal instead
- Apples (esp. Applin Apples) appear too often
- Bottle o' Enchanting should be common across all loot types
- Add upgrade items for Sophisticated Backpacks
- Warp Scrolls too common — add more Return Scrolls and Warp Dust instead
- Consider integrating Farmer’s Delight for better kitchen loot?
- Regular backpacks show up too often — tone down their frequency
- Held items (type-specific) show up way too much
- Sophisticated backpacks should have their own loot tables
- XP Candies might need rarity tuning (especially M/L/XL)
- Add more redstone parts to attic (repeaters, pistons, etc.)
- Dusk & Quick Balls can be slightly more common
- Lanterns should be more prevalent

✅ Let’s shape these loot tables together. I'm watching the thread — I really want to polish this system and your insights will directly influence the next patch.

🎒 Optional Mod Integration!

We now include optional loot for:

  • Sophisticated Backpacks
  • Traveler’s Backpack
  • Waystones

These mods are fully optional — if they aren’t installed, nothing breaks. But if they are, you’ll find items from those mods appearing in loot chests! 🔄

🔮 Sneak Peek Countdown

Remember that post in #sneak-peeks?
🔥 We’re sitting at 51 fire reactions — once we hit 75, I’ll post the first dungeon sneak peek 👀

Go drop a 🔥 if you haven't yet and help us unlock the next content reveal!

📝 Changelog: v3.9.2

✨ Major Features
