Right-click with your flower once to apply it to the mane, twice to the tail, or three times to apply it to both. Use shears to remove the flowers if desired.

*You can now “lock” your mount (prevent others from riding it) by shift-right-clicking it with a Mount Key. Unlock it by doing the same interaction.
-Added the ability to place heavy horse armor on Camels
*Camels can now wear most heavy horse armors. Light armor cannot/ does not need to be applied, as camels are strong and aren’t slowed down by heavy armor.
-Fixed Brand Tags not showing on Sheep
-Temporarily removed markings from rendering on certain baby animals due to marking layer floating issues
-Fixed an issue that would cause 50% of baby Sheep, Pigs, Cows and Mooshrooms to default to black base coloring with no markings

This is a major update and your old animals may change color, pattern, or may not work correctly mechanically if not prepared correctly. I’ve written some steps below to follow in the case of updating from 2.7-.
Here are some things you can do while updating to minimize loss if you want to update a pre-2.8 LO world:
-Take all items out of your o-animals’ chests/ saddlebags

-Only certain animal breeds can spawn in the wild, often corresponding to the biome
-Only certain animal colors can spawn in the wild, often corresponding to the biome
-Upon death, Horses now have a small chance of turning into an Undead Horse
-Camels, Llamas, Goats can now caravan
-Llamas, Goats can now be shorn for wool
-Pigs, Sheep now have new breeds
-Unicorns now spawn naturally in certain situations, are combined into one entity (crafting is no longer viable), and must now be tamed with certain foods (found in the Livestock Guide)
-Unicorns can now come in multiple different colors and patterns, similarly to horses
-Mules can now come in any solid color that a Horse can (does not include coats like champagne, ivory, roans, etc)
